As of September, 2015, the company operated 1,025 retail stores in 32 states. Hibbett Sports, Inc. operates sporting goods stores in small to mid-sized markets, in the Southeast, Southwest and lower Midwest regions of the United States. States with the most stores are Georgia ), Texas , and Alabama. Its stores offer a range of athletic equipment, footwear, and apparel. The company's primary store format is the Hibbett Sports store, an approximately 5,000 square foot store located primarily in strip centers which are frequently influenced by a Wal-Mart store.

The supervisors and corporates hire people to be CIT managers but then they don't even back them in situations with employees refusals to work/insubordination and doesn't follow their own store policies."

Many good people are kicked to the curb while people who really doesn't care or even try, are given opportunity after opportunity just because they know someone. When sales are down, upper management will blame others instead of looking in the mirror and take blame."

Also blamed workers for everything when proper training was absent. Everything was handled by anyone under the GM. Store managers start at $33,000 a year having to work a mandatory minimum of 48 hours a week. Other direct rival companies assistant managers make more than Hibbett store managers. Let that sink in. Save your time and go to a better company."

Key says"ZERO STARS!! I placed a Ready in 90 minutes order for a pair of shoes that were needed that night only to be told by the store that they did not have the size I needed and that I would have to call customer service in order to cancel the order. When I spoke with customer service I was told that since it had been over an hour since I placed the order they would have to submit a cancelation request in order to cancel the order and that I would receive an email in 24 hours with the cancelation number. I spoke with customer service on December 31st because it had been 24 hours and I had not received the email. At this time, I was told that the order was canceled and that I should see the refund within 3-5 days.I thought that was the end of this process, but no! On January 2nd I received an email from Hibbett that stated that my order is shipping. I called customer service once again and was told by Diane that she did everything right and that all she can do at that time was submit another cancelation request which would take another 24-48 hours. I also called this morning, because at this point I just want my money back, to be told by the representative that she does not see any correspondence from me calling after the 30th and that there isn't a way for Hibbett to guarantee the order will be canceled before it shipped and that there isn't an ETA as to when I would receive a refund. I don't want the shoes, I just want my $220 back without having to drive an hour out of my way to process a return for an item I canceled. Foot Locker gave me excellent customer service December 30th when I could not get the shoes from Hibbett!! Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever received!!"
G Wilson says"Do not order from these people. I order some clothes on Dec 10th and tracking shows it was suppose to arrive by Dec 16th, never arrived. I call Hibbett on Dec 22nd, they said it was lost in shipping said post office was suppose to give to ups to deliver. She said they will send me a coupon and do an investigation. I called today, representative said no record of previous call. I spent $100 and still have nothing. I have been shopping with these people for years. I will never order anything else again and im contacting the Better Business Bureau next."

I got an early start on holiday shopping due to the pandemic. I am a couple days past the return window because of this, and they are unwilling to budge. EVERY other company I have ordered from—literally EVERY single one—extends its holiday return policy. This is the one present my son was really looking forward to. Now he has a $100 pair of sneakers that don’t fit. Thank you for helping to make this holiday so special, Hibbett. Unbelievable!!!! Never shop here!!!!"

Chatted with a “team member” who was absolutely no help! I ended up having to file a claim with their insurance company!
It seems like that type of thing happens often. Would definitely recommend ordering elsewhere."

Called Hibbett today and they won’t resend or refund my order. Said nothing they can do and that it’s out of their hands now. I just need to wait until some 3rd part company reviews my claim!"

I visited the valley station store on 12-22-20. I was ignored by all 3 male employees in the store. I'm a African American female. Two white customers came in the store and they were greeted warmly and ask if they needed help. I wondered why I was not greeted the same way as the other customers. I went to footlocker and purchased 3 pairs of shoes for grandkids. I will not spend another dime in that store in the future!"
Jenna says"If I could leave 0 stars I would. I got an email that said my order has shipped back on Dec 12th. On Dec 20th I called customer service to see what the hold up was on my order and they said there was no reason. It just hasn’t made it to the carrier yet to be shipped. It is now 10:30pm Dec 22 and the delivery status still says the shipping facility has not received package from the seller yet. This is freaking ridiculous. I most CERTAINLY will not be doing business with them again."

I got an email that said,"Your order has been shipped. The tracking label number was legit, but the shoe never made it to USPS. I filed a claim with their so called free insurance they give you and never hear back from them. I will definitely file a complaint with the BBB. The sad part about it, this is a gift for my child for Christmas."

He received emails and text messages saying he won and to pick up his jordans by 12. We went to southland mall to pick them up and they sold his jordans before we got there and we came before 12. Just think about it! your buying shoes that cost a pretty penny and they offer you reg postage. There insurance system that they add on to (select items )is a joke( Route) . 10 days Now still waiting for shoes? They say mam wait another 3 to 5 days and call back. Are we really serious here? So unless u purchase directly in the store don't rely on their process for shipping and handling. Child like Management as well. It sounded like they were reading from a manual or u tube video😂 on learning how to deal with situation with customers and delivery."
Jenna says"Do not order from Hibbett City Gear. They are scammers. Never received my shoes. Tracking number didn’t work, order number was invalid. When I call their customer service number, it disconnects after it says “transferring to an agent”. Same with their online chat option. It never directs you to an agent. I have filed a claim with PayPal to get my money back ."
